Description: Not for Profit Healthcare Organization seeking an Administrative Assistant for Accounting and Fund Development Departments. Position would be under the direction of the Executive Director of Fund Development and Accounting Supervisor, and is responsible for providing the administrative support for the development department and accounting department as required by the Chief Financial Officer. Maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor toward all staff members, residents, clients, visitors and guests. Fund Development and Accounting administrative duties include but not limited to the following: Process charitable donations into organization database Process gift acknowledgement letters in compliance with Development Office policies Create queries and provide reports as requested Manage accuracy and integrity of database including coordination of all updates, backups, and maintenance functions with the IT department. Tracks, codes, and processes monthly invoices, including department credit card Attends meetings with Accounting department to reconcile records Oversees and executes Development events and fundraising campaigns Serves as a positive, courteous and professional representative for all Methodist ElderCare facilities Uses excel to design and export data to excel format for mailings, workbooks and databases, etc. Schedules meetings and appointments for development staff as needed Insurance verifications Account reconciliations Monthly journal entries Filing Bank deposits Account collections Annual audit work and special projects
Requirements: Administrative experience in development/fund raising office and Raiser's Edge software would be beneficial Data base management experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Excel, Word and Windows applications Two years of general accounting experience preferred Need to be very flexible, personable, detail oriented and strong multitasking skills Willingness to be flexible with schedule
