Title: Seasonal Cook/Food Service Coordinator

Description: Performs any and all of the duties associated with daily operations of the Food Service areas. Develops menus, reporting costs and recommends retail pricing. • Performs on a daily basis the tasks associated with the operation of the Café and concession stands as it pertains to the general visitor including but not limited to cooking and food preparation, customer service, cleaning kitchen and dining room facilities and equipment, register/computer operation, inventory control and the organization/storage of all items associated with café and concession activities. • Forecasts and plans for all orders pertaining to food service, while staying within budgeted guidelines. Provides for general public and provides catering service for groups, camps and special events. • Provides necessary training for seasonal staff members. • Assists in training and communicating the policies and procedures to seasonal staff. • Establishes and maintains an open and constant line of communication with the Director of Operations. • Maintains acceptable sanitation and food safety behaviors to ensure compliance with OSHA and FDA rules and regulations. • Performs opening and closing procedures as needed. • Learns and follows emergency and safety procedures. • Learns and follows food handling policy and procedures. • Acts as a representative of organization including appropriate dress, language and attitude in all activities, providing a positive example to all staff. • Determines proper cooking time and temperature. • Responsible for inventory of supplies on hand and ordering food supplies, ingredients, and other consumables on a scheduled basis as determined by menu and estimated number of customers. • Provides all visitors with prompt, friendly service. • Constantly strives to further the mission of the organization. • Implements sustainable practices in daily tasks whenever possible. • Performs other duties as assigned.
