Description: General Overview The Compliance Officer is responsible for executing compliance duties to ensure that effective internal controls are maintained throughout the Bank as they relate to bank operations. The Compliance Officer will provide expertise and functional support to help drive the full integration of the Bank’s compliance programs. The position reports to the Vice President of Compliance and Community Reinvestment (VPCCR). Duties and Responsibilities The Compliance Officer will assist with and monitor aspects of the Bank’s compliance programs by performing the following duties: • Assist the VPCCR in the execution of the Bank’s Compliance Management and Monitoring Program (CMMP) in accordance with established monitoring schedules and plans by performing periodic testing of targeted regulations, monitoring business practices by business units, and assisting with the management of compliance risk projects. • Assist in the preparation of information and documents for Bank examinations, internal and external audits, and compliance reviews. • Assist in the periodic review, administration, and update of compliance related programs, policies, procedures, plans, and controls. • Administer the Bank’s Approved Appraiser Program. • Administer the Bank’s IT Security Monitoring Program. • Assist in executing the Bank’s annual employee training programs for new and existing employees and Board Members by compiling and maintaining training documentation. • Assist in the review and administration of all advertisements, brochures, lobby notices, signs and other promotional materials to ensure their compliance with regulations. • Assist in administering the Bank’s Records Retention and Disposal Policy and Program. • Correspond with bank personnel in matters relating to compliance issues. • Complete special projects, investigations, ad hoc reviews, or other tasks as requested by the VPCCR pertaining to internal control and compliance matters. • Create and maint
Requirements: Education and Work Experience Desired • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other quantitative discipline, or substantial experience in bank loan and/or regulatory administration. • One year experience in a financial services or real estate firm with a working understanding of regulatory and consumer compliance topics. • Any combination of technical education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. • Professional certification desired, but not required.
